ABOUT
"When I was little, my grandma used to knit the most beautiful jumpers, spencers and so on for my brother and me. In 2019, my beloved daughter Jones was born. Her grandma, my mother in-law who is passionate about hand knitting as well, started to make all kind of beautiful items for my girl, that reminded me of my own childhood during the 90’s. It made me think of bringing these nostalgic garments back to life, for the young and the old. After a career within the fashion industry, it was time for a new chapter, which became The Spencer Club.
COLLECTION
The Spencer Club is all about knitwear both for kids and adults with a cool, sporty and preppy vibe that somehow relate to nostalgia for everyone. Each season we will launch some new, vibrant colors that fit the existing collection. We also try to develop in both traditional and modern knitting techniques, and combine these to stay refreshing.
PRODUCTION / SUSTAINABILITY
We create long-life knitted garments made with beautiful yarns sourced in Italy and South Europe, carefully produced in the Netherlands. The last phase of each garment is finished by hand by Jones her grandma. All made to order or limited available. Taking responsibility for humans and nature plays an important role for The Spencer Club. The local production allows us to stay in close contact with our factory and monitor the production process from A till Z. In this way we can maintain the quality and ethics of the garments. Buying yarns from available stock contributes to minimise our environmental footprint. Limited availability of some of the colors can occur because of this. The Spencer Club believes in personal garments, designed with a nostalgic approach for a modern but timeless wardrobe. Made with a lot of love.
